Refillable Wood Stain Pen – Furniture & Cabinet Touch-Up, Chisel Tip Scratch Repair
Refillable wood stain pen for furniture & cabinet touch-up. The chisel tip makes precise lines and clean long runs on edges, trim, and moldings. Reusable aluminum barrel (~14 ml) with steel mixing ball for uniform stain; airtight cap resists dry-out. Fast to fill, neater than a brush, and easy to control for scratch repair, nicks, and worn edges. Use your own stain color; replaceable tips (chisel + round). Works on walnut, oak, espresso, maple. Simple how-to and first-use notes below.
Why this works for stain touch-ups
Tricky tones: Tricky tones (walnut with a red cast, aged oak, espresso) blend best if you start lighter. Apply a thin coat, let it dry to the touch (~1 minute), then add a slightly darker touch only where needed. If the sheen looks different, lightly mist a compatible clear finish or buff once dry; avoid heavy spot top-coats that create shiny halos. On high-wear edges (trash-pulls, dishwasher panels), add a second quick pass after the first repair fully dries.
Usage notes: Shake well, prime the tip, apply with the grain, then do one light pass with a clean, lint-free cloth along the grain to lift extra stain—don’t scrub. If the scratch still shows, add a little more stain and wipe once again. Build thin layers until it blends. For long edges, ride the chisel face lightly to keep an even line from end to end.
Important note for first time use: Before priming, “burp” the pen to release built-up air. Point the pen upward, press the nib briefly to vent, then prime on scrap until the tip saturates and test a few lines. This prevents blobs and gives predictable flow.
Assembly: See the listing photos for each step. Fill after adding the mixing ball, then insert the valve to seal the pen and prevent spills during the final steps.
