These pump paint pens are made of sturdy aluminum barrels. They are light weight, resistive to almost all fluids (I have used them with paint and solvents of various types, MEK, acetone, Xylene, toluene, turpentine, automotive paint reducers and thinners, indelible marker ink, nail polish remover, isopropyl alcohol etc). Want to change colors in your paint pen? Not a problem - wash out the barrel and the valve, install a replacement paint pen tip, and you are good to go, using your own custom colors and paints.

These are the ideal paint pens for inks, liquid chalks, watercolors, alcohol based paints, latex, oil paint, and more. 

Bear in mind that to get the correct flow of paint through and around the nib the paint will need to be diluted (thinned), in some cases up to50%. For latex paint use water or Floetrol or a combination of the two. For acrylic use water or air brush paint medium. Oil based paints can be thinned with turpentine, mineral spirits, linseed oil, etc. If you are a painter, you know better than I what the proper procedure is to thin oil paints. Stains and inks generally work fine right out of the container.
